About Barbara
Hello! My name is Barbara Martinez and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Forensic Science from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have experience working with children as young as three as well as adolescents and adults. When working with clients I use a relational-cultural approach while cultivating a space that is focused on empathy and growth.

I have worked alongside clients who were going through divorce, changes in their family, domestic violence, depression and other mood disorders, personality disorders, recently inpatient, as well as grief and substance use. I enjoy working with clients of all ages. I wholeheartedly believe we are not meant to tackle all of our difficulties alone and hope to be a partner through working these through these experiences.
